I want to go from London to Paris, what’s the cheapest way? Plus any travel tips?

Katie L asked:

A friend and I are planning a trip from New York city to London. We plan to stay there for about 5 days. But we also want to go to Paris and see everything there and stay for about 5 days. What is the cheapest way to do this, is there a train route or something easy?
Also any ideas on cool things to do, or prices or anything would be great. Know of any hotels that are inexpensive yet nice (we’re college students).
Thanks!

Marcus

Take the EuroStar train , cheaper than flying in most cases but check the low cost airlines like ryanair.co.uk as they sometimes have amazing sales on !!

Have fun !

Try buying a multi city package. That’s what I did when I went to Paris and Madrid last year and I saved a lot of money. I got hotel and airfare to both cities for about the price of one flight. Try the links below, they offer affordable packages. Also sta travel is geared towards students, and sometimes offers really great discounts.

Jesus! DO NOT BUY EUROSTAR TICKETS!

I know it might sound great and handy but it’s very expensive. You should rather check out low cost companies such as ryanair or easyjet. While booking, do not forget that going to the airport in England can turn out to be very expensive (oftentimes more expensive than the plane ticket). For instance, one time it cost me like 30 euros (one way ticket of course). Also, be sure that when you’re downtown you check out which train station goes to your airport. There are many train stations and sometimes it gets tricky.
